Newsletter Advertising Guidelines
Please note: Rates for new display ads will be revised effective with the October 2004 issue. Deadline for ads is the 17th of the preceding month.
Newsletter Display Ad Rates. If you have a display ad that will not fit in any of the following size categories, please contact TechPubs.
The following rates are in effect as of March 10, 2004 and subject to change without notice:
Circulation 1400-1500. Ads go in all five section newsletters: Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Southern San Joaquin Valley (Bakersfield) and Las Vegas:

Single Page Inserts. Basic cost for inserting a one-page pre-printed 8-1/2 x 11 sheet into the newsletter is the same rate as a 1/3-page ad. A 4-page insert (one 11x17 sheet) is double the 1/3-page rate. If the inserts increase the overall weight of the newsletter to the next weight category, the additional postage will be split equally among those advertisers who have inserts in that issue. Exact postage cost and cost for other types of inserts will be quoted in advance. A minimum of 1500 pre-printed inserts should be delivered to TechPubs by the 17th of the month preceding publication. Due to postal requirements, inserts will need to be trimmed to 8-1/4 x 11. We can do this for you at cost - $20. Unused copies will be returned by US mail at the cost of postage ($3-5).

Circulation. Newsletter circulation is always 1400-1500. For recent circulation statistics within ISA membership, please see the circulation page or contact TechPubs. In addition to ISA members, copies are also mailed to instrumentation, automation and controls industry personnel in the membership geographical area.
Newsletter Publishing Schedule. Newsletters are scheduled to be delivered by the first of each month, twelve months per year. The deadline for display ads and articles is the tenth of the month preceding publication.
Artwork. Ad rates are for display ads submitted as camera-ready artwork in electronic format. Contact TechPubs for information about usable formats. Artwork submitted as negatives is subject to additional charges to convert to electronic format. Typically, this is $10 for ads submitted on art board and $25 for composed negatives. The resulting electronic format, along with all artwork and negatives submitted is the property of the advertiser.
Changes to Ads. Minor changes which can be made in a few minutes are done at no charge. Changes requiring more time can be made at competitive rates quoted in advance.
Art Preparation and Printing Services Available. If art preparation for ads or printed inserts is required, TechPubs offers professional graphic arts services at competitive prices with all work quoted in advance.
